Studio Tour
I have to admit, I am a very messy painter. When I am in the midst of teaching a class or creating a collection it is as if a tornado hit every medium and surface of my space.
Once I complete a project, I love to refresh and organize my studio. I recently did a big spring overhaul of my space to minimize my art supplies and make my space more efficient. We have always lived in quirky old homes. I love the personality they bring but I have always had to get really creative with storage. Over time, I have found ways to utilize each nook and cranny. I love to “hide my art supplies in plain site” so I can easily access them. I find if they are tucked away too far, I don't end up creating as much. Something as simple as keeping a basket filled with art supplies in your living space can help you create more. We don't need a fancy studio to create, we can create anywhere! The challenge is carving away the time for your creative practice on a routine basis.
