August Art Prompts

I love the moments when you are brewing with ideas and one snowballs into the next. But we all have been in the oppositite position where the ideas are sluggish and getting paint to canvas is a challenge.

When these moments come in my creative process, I like to make “saved for a rainy day” notes. What exactrly are these? When the ideas are flowing and I don’t have enough time to create everything that comes to mind I jot down my extra ideas either on a scrap pieces of paper or under my notes section digitally and reference them when I am feeling stuck. They don’t always have the same meaning but sometimes they are just enough to get me started again. Momentum is so powerful in the creative process. We don’t have to be creating constantly to keep up with a practice but keeping up with practice and curiosity can be so beneficial.

If you are feeling stuck at the moment here are some Art Prompts for the autumn season.
