Apricity “the warmth of the sun in winter”.

A collection of glimmers found in the everyday. The warm glow of the sun as it seeps through the grey clouds in the midst of winter, the bloom of the first spring flower, the extensive days and get togethers that summer brings, the crisp air in the fall. In each season we can see the beauty if we take the time to feel into it all.

This collection evolved from our Winter Findings mini class where we worked through washes of ink and paints through winter scenes. I expanded on our original winterscape scenes and launched into other locations or seasons. I love the fluidity of ink and washes. This medium forces you to let go of expectations and follow where the ink flows. You are forced to seize control and sink into the process. Just like the unpredictability of ink life mimics these same moments.

This collection is on watercolor paper and will be shipped unframed. All pieces are standard sizes and I have included framing options below. Option for made-to-order giclee prints on Somerset paper for some pieces.
